“ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ five stars NOT INCLUDING THE CURRENT MANAGER. pls read on <3 Friday night 19/7/24 The Jin is our favorite spot for top-quality Japanese food! My boyfriend and I frequent this place often for its amazing food and peaceful, humble atmosphere. Today, I went for breakfast (the ramen was creamy and delicious) and then returned for dinner on the same day with my boyfriend! Dinner was equally divine. They agreed to serve us a half dozen oysters, not even on the menu—delicious! The salmon bowl had an amazing mix of flavors and textures, and the beef tataki was powerful and tender, served with a salad and grated cheese with a balsamic glaze. Yum! The presentation on the dishes is always top tier too, and the taste always lives up to the art of it :) The service was outstanding. The same sweet lady served me both in the morning AND evening. She was incredibly nice, even adjusting our table to make it more comfortable with the help of a kind male server. However, there's just one downside. The pakeha (iykyk) manager was incredibly rude and narcissistic. She shamed and berated the server in front of everyone, making us uncomfortable. She was making a scene and having a tantrum out of nothing - just a simple misunderstanding that was likely just due to the language barrier of the server. She clearly displayed that she has no empathy for those who are different than her, and made an attempt to embarrass the sweet kind server in front of their customers. My boyfriend and I had our jaws on the FLOOR we were shocked at her unprofessional, toddler-like display. She kept changing the songs in the restaurant and we could hear her groaning in annoyance from the kitchen, which was totally off-putting. In the end, we tried to give the amazing server (who had been there all day) a personal tip, which was difficult for her to accept, but we placed it in the tip jar anyway. We can only hope that the nasty manager didn’t get her grimey hands on it (Caucasian with the long blue braids). To the hardworking chefs and servers, my partner and I appreciate the hard work that goes into your amazing service and food and we hope to never witness this appalling treatment ever again. We love yall <3 Despite the manager, The Jin's food and service are worth it! Just hope for better management. ”

“ Birthday dinner with family, 11 people (Wednesday night 7:15 booking) The food was ridiculously good, great quality and good serving sizes. 2 pictures with this review are the Beef Udon and Tiger King Prawns - brilliant Service was also good. Cannot contain and would definitely recommend as none of our party left left hungry or disappointed. Updated 24/03/2023. Went back again and had the Octopus and Seafood soup. Updated 20/05/2023. Back again and had the Surf and Turf, Seafood risotto, Edamame and Spring Rolls. Again, the food was fresh, full of flavour and absolutely brilliant. Service is laid back but in a great way. A hidden gem that won't disappoint and I cannot say this strongly enough. ”

“ That was a really great lunch! Brought the kids, had a couple of udon and ramen soups and they were spot on. Lovely broth, good serving size, and very well presented. For a spontaneous lunch decision on a lazy Sunday, this place just hit that spot! Thanks very much for a great lunch! ”

“ Wow, the food here is so good. Ordered sushi + pasta + surf n turf, everything was great. Every dish was well seasoned with good portion, presented in a beautiful way. I love how they didn't use frozen prawn in their dishes. Will come back! ”
